about

This song was an icebreaker of sorts for me. I had not been writing music for several years and had writer's block. My life at that time was very busy...raising children, work, and attending grad school took precedence. The hectic pace finally calmed down to the point where I could focus on music again. This was the first song I wrote when I started playing once more. At first I saw it as a standard love song. In hindsight, I see it as an expression of gratitude for everything that music has given me throughout my life...joy, awe at the wonder of creativity, stability in uncertain time, the list goes on and on. So, dear friends, here is my note of gratitude and celebration for the magic that is music. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed creating it. PS...if you are a fan of electric 12 string guitar, then this is your song! Cheers...Brian

lyrics

I was lost, little girl, you came to do the finding,
In this crazy, crazy world, you said "I'll stand beside you."
This is how the lost get found,
Join the ranks of the safe and sound.

CHORUS:
I came to your door and stumbled in,
You picked me up and let me love again.

As a friend, little girl, depend on me forever,
To be there, little girl, through the heaviest of weather.
Just let the storms blow by,
We'll be sheltered side by side.

CHORUS:

BRIDGE: (Instrumental)

Here's to you, little girl, you made me a believer,
You gave me, little girl, a purpose and a reason.
Through believing in you,
I came to believe in me too.

CHORUS:
