This song was inspired when I took one of my kids to the doctor. They had a Children's Book of Bible Stories in the lobby. When I got home I thought about the stories and how they used to fascinate me. A few days later I wrote this song. It is very loosely based on the originals. I took massive liberties. For instance, God is a football coach, Moses is a quarterback and Jonah and the Whale become drinking buddies. Enjoy.

He struck a match and lit the sun.

Then he turned day to night,
And painted stars across the midnight sky.

Lead the tribes through the sand,

Jonah said to the whale,

Over a beer?

The whale, he opened his mouth,
He let Jonah spot the first three rounds.
